Where has the time gone?
It only seems like yesterday that the house was full of children and there weren't enough hours in a day to get everything done. Earning a living, yard work, lots of laundry, cooking, cleaning and everything else we had to do to look after our families.
Well things are a lot quieter now since the kids have gone and we still have this big empty home to clean and maintain. Is it time to look after ourselves a little bit and do the things we always dreamed of doing? Do we really need this big home any more or should we think about buying a smaller property, condominium or even renting an apartment? If you are like many of us who have done our duties as parents over the past 30 or so years, these questions are not uncommon. Our needs and lifestyles have changed dramatically in the last few years and we are now contemplating about how to enjoy the time we have to ourselves. Change is not easy and moving from the home in which you raised your family is very difficult and sometimes traumatic. I understand this and that is why I never use pressure tactics to list a home. It is more important that you are making decisions that are good for you and your future. I am a trained 55+ Specialist who has helped many retirees and seniors through this transition period. Many have downsized and some are still in their family homes. In all cases we remain in contact with each other which is very rewarding for me. If you are thinking of downsizing or just want to explore your options, please give me a call. I would enjoy meeting you and providing any information which you may require to make an informed decision. Maybe you should sell, maybe you shouldn’t but, it is worth exploring a new lifestyle.
